Martin Carter Scholl

Martin Carter Scholl is a filmmaker and new media artist from Atlanta, Georgia, currently studying towards a double major in interdisciplinary art and Entertainment & Media Studies at the University of Georgia. Scholl’s work primarily focuses on both cultural and cognitive post-internet implications. Generally, Scholl poses questions surrounding the impact of the information age, where social media, pornography, and AI are products of a hungry, neoliberal attention economy. Scholl demonstrates how these components of contemporary society perpetuate negative masculine tendencies- sadism, violence, abuse. Scholl commonly works in film, video, and new media.
