Synopsis
Famed conductor Andre Previn serves as both the host and subject of this compilation of live performances by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. After introducing each piece with some background on its composer (including excerpts from the composer's other work), Previn conducts the legendary orchestra in performances of symphonies by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms, Berlioz, Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich.
