In The Mistress, Sophia is about to marry Ryan, a man that she barely knows, much to the chagrin of her daughter Khloe, who believes she's making an impulsive decision. As she gets to know him, however, Khloe begins to see the attraction and starts to develop feelings of her own towards him. Complications arise as her boyfriend Jay becomes suspicious and begins to do his own investigation. He comes to discover that a larger game is being played, and everyone in it is a pawn.
